Video: Tua Tagovailoa hits Tyreek Hill for gorgeous 65-yard TD in training camp as fans go wild

A sight the Miami Dolphins hope to see often this season took place Saturday at training camp when Tua Tagovailoa connected with new wide receiver Tyreek Hill for a touchdown.

While the touchdown means nothing regarding the upcoming 2022 NFL season, the completion will provide at least a temporary boost in the confidence of Tagovailoa, who enters the year with concerns surrounding his future with the franchise.

Tagovailoa will have not only Hill and his elite speed at his disposal, but second-year receiver Jaylen Waddle as well. For good measure, another major receiving option is tight end Mike Gesicki, whose 73 receptions last season were a career-high for him.

Hill’s talents on the field can likely make any quarterback look good, which is why the Dolphins ended up making a blockbuster deal for him in March.

Since being acquired by the Dolphins, Hill has gone out of his way to promote the abilities of Tagovailoa, who was selected by the Dolphins with the fifth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

That strong support by Hill has sparked some controversy, mostly because he came to the Dolphins after playing with Patrick Mahomes as part of a potent Kansas City Chiefs offense. Some of Hill’s comments even led to absurd death threats being sent his way.

Tagovailoa and Hill still need to connect during actual games, especially when Miami’s season gets underway on Sept. 11 against the New England Patriots. The possibility of Tagovailoa and Hill developing a frequent connection certainly excites Dolphins fans.
