Tyreek Hill still pissed off Tom Brady whooped Chiefs: ‘If I could just get on the field and just tackle him’

Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill will get his first taste of the rivalry that exists between his new team and the New England Patriots.

He likely has a personal grudge against the former face of the Patriots, quarterback Tom Brady. Brady, who is now a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, defeated Hill and his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, in Super Bowl LV.

Hill recently appeared on the “All The Smoke” podcast to discuss facing Brady on football’s biggest stage and admitted that he still has hard feelings about losing that championship game in a 31-9 blowout.

“It just pisses me off how he just beat our a–, dog,” Hill said after spending a fair amount of time complimenting Brady for his unmatched competitive spirit. “If I could just get on the field and just tackle him, bruh. One time, one time, unblocked. Just let me get on the field.”

There are definitely a lot of players around the NFL who similarly wish that they could take out their aggression on Brady. He’s been a dominant force in the league for over 20 years now and has seven Super Bowl rings to his name.

Last season, he led the league in passes attempted (719), completions (485), yards (5,316) and touchdowns (43). He briefly announced his retirement early in the 2022 NFL offseason, but then doubled back on his retirement and announced that he’d return for his 23rd season in the league.

Interestingly, Brady and the Dolphins have a fairly strong connection in the recent past. Earlier this summer, the Dolphins were handed down a hefty punishment from the NFL for violating the league’s tampering rules by having “impermissible communications” with him.

As a result, the Dolphins were forced to forfeit their first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft as well as their third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The organization has seemingly put that situation in its rearview though, and it will now head into Week 1 facing a Patriots team that is still searching for a new identity in the post-Brady era.

The Dolphins are hoping that Week 1 starts off a season in which the team will finally be able to get over the hump and end the playoff drought that has been alive since 2016.
