A video by new Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill promoted an upcoming episode of his podcast with Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
The episode will be available on Thursday evening, with Hill taking time during the taping to market the discussion with the signal-caller.
Hill was acquired in March by the Dolphins after spending his first six NFL seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. During that span, he emerged as a standout receiver who collected 111 receptions last year.
Tagovailoa is set to begin his third season in the league. When he was drafted with the fifth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, he was seen as the team’s quarterback of the future.
Like many young quarterbacks, Tagovailoa has experienced the ups and downs that come with playing in the NFL. Those down moments have led to criticism of his play, with some trade talk surfacing in the past.
Not long after Hill joined the Dolphins, he sparked controversy when he indicated that Tagovailoa was more accurate than his quarterback with the Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes.
One indication of just how explosive Hill’s comments concerning Tagovailoa and Mahomes were was the fact that Hill received death threats in the wake of the remarks.
Having a quarterback and receiver bond can be something that’s beneficial for any team. The Dolphins are certainly hoping that the new connection pays dividends down the road and leads to a playoff berth after near misses during each of the past two campaigns.
For Dolphins fans that tune in, they’ll get an opportunity to see Hill and Tagovailoa interact off the field before training camp begins.
