Earlier this offseason, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was mocked endlessly on social media after he was seen underthrowing a pass to newly acquired superstar Tyreek Hill.
It seems as though Tagovailoa is well aware of the criticism he has received. While speaking with members of the press recently, he called out the “keyboard warriors” who have criticized him.
It certainly seems like a fire has been lit underneath the University of Alabama product. That fire seems to be fueling him in practice as well. In a recent video posted by the Dolphins, Tagovailoa tossed a nice long ball to his newest offensive superstar.
There’s no doubt that it’s a better throw than the one fans mocked mercilessly. It’s certainly a good sign for the young quarterback and his team.
If Tagovailoa is able to make this throw on Sundays this season, the Dolphins are sure to win plenty of games.
Dolphins fans have been no strangers to winning over the last couple of seasons. In fact, the Dolphins have finished the last two seasons with winning records. Despite that, the team still hasn’t made the playoffs since the 2016 campaign.
With added talent on the offensive side of the ball and a solid defensive unit in place, the Dolphins should be able to end that drought this season. That’s certainly the hope and expectation.
In the end, it might all hinge on whether or not Tagovailoa can hit his receivers on long balls like he just did with Hill.
