Tua Tagovailoa claps back at ‘keyboard warriors’ who have criticized his arm strength

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has certainly faced a lot of criticism so far in his young NFL career.

He entered the league as the No. 5 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft after enjoying an incredibly impressive collegiate career at the University of Alabama. However, some have questioned whether he was worthy of such a high pick due to his lack of elite arm strength as well as his injury history.

Though Tagovailoa is known to be a very likable character, he did show his fangs recently while speaking with members of the media. He called out the “keyboard warriors” who have spent time on social media criticizing him and his arm strength.

Clearly, Tagovailoa is growing tired of the criticism that he is seeing on social media.

Without a doubt, the best way for Tagovailoa to silence the critics is to put up big numbers on the field in the coming season.

Last season, Tagovailoa finished the year with a 7-5 record as a starter and passed for 2,653 yards, 16 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He added 128 yards on the ground and three rushing touchdowns.

While those are decent numbers, they certainly do not jump off of the page. However, Miami didn’t exactly surround the quarterback with tons of talent over his first two NFL seasons. That won’t be the case in the upcoming campaign.

This season, Tagovailoa will have an improved group of running backs, vastly improved offensive line and one of the most talented targets in the NFL in Tyreek Hill. Tagovailoa certainly has the tools to silence the “keyboard warriors.” Now, he just has to do it.
