Very similar to Kaepernick, Robert Griffin III was considered one of the top young quarterbacks in the game just three years ago.
Three seasons prior, Griffin won Offensive Rookie of the Year while leading the Washington Redskins to their first playoff berth since the 2007 season. He set rookie records for passer rating and touchdown-to-interception ratio while throwing for 20 touchdowns and five interceptions in 2012.
Since his rookie season however, Griffin has struggled with numerous injuries to his knees. His career has been so derailed to the point that he has thrown for just 20 touchdowns over the past two seasons combined. He was also replaced as starting QB by Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy during the 2014 season.
However, he enters the 2015 season with a fresh start and one of the better offensive supporting casts in the league. Alfred Morris is arguably a top 10 running back in the NFL, while DeSean Jackson is a top 15 receiver in the league.
With a division that is up for grabs, Griffin can easily re-emerge on the scene as a top-tier QB in 2015.
