Miami Dolphins offer update on Tyreek Hill’s family after fire breaks out at his house

The Miami Dolphins have offered an immediate update after a fire broke out at star wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s house.

Dolphins star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa commented on the fire.

Hill had a forgettable performance in the team’s loss against the Baltimore Ravens on Dec. 31, at least by his standards. He finished with 76 receiving yards on six receptions. For reference, he is averaging 114.5 receiving yards per game this season.

Across 15 appearances with the Dolphins so far during the 2023 regular season, Hill has totaled 1,717 receiving yards, 12 receiving touchdowns and 79 first downs receiving. Plus, he is averaging 15.3 receiving yards per reception.

The wide receiver arguably had his best performance of the season to this point in Miami’s regular-season opener versus the Los Angeles Chargers back on Sept. 10. He racked up a whopping 215 receiving yards on 11 receptions to go along with two receiving touchdowns in the Dolphins’ 36-34 victory, and his longest reception of the game was for 47 yards.

He was also dominant in Miami’s 15-point win over the New York Giants on Oct. 8. He ended up with 181 receiving yards on eight receptions — which equates to 22.6 yards per reception — as well as one receiving touchdown.

The 29-year-old is in his eighth year in the NFL and second as a member of the Dolphins organization. Before he was dealt to Miami, Hill spent the first six seasons of his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs and won a Super Bowl during his time with the team.

Hill’s last chance to add to his gaudy receiving numbers before the end of the 2023 regular season will come when the Dolphins play the Buffalo Bills at home on Jan. 7. Miami will aim for its eighth home win of the season.

While it’s tragic news that a fire broke out at Hill’s home, at least the wide receiver and his family are reportedly safe and sound. Hopefully he will feel up to playing against Buffalo and give Dolphins fans one more incredible performance before the regular season comes to a close.
