Report: De’Von Achane will be full go for Miami Dolphins vs. Las Vegas Raiders

The highly anticipated return of Miami Dolphins rookie De’Von Achane has finally come, as he is set to suit up for the squad in its Week 11 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

In another piece of good news for Dolphins fans, the running back will reportedly have no restrictions for the Sunday contest, giving the team a significant reinforcement on the offensive end.

“We welcome back De’Von Achane for the Dolphins,” said Cameron Wolfe. “He’s missed the last month with a knee sprain. But I’m told he will be a full go today, ready to resume his role along with Raheem Mostert in the Dolphins backfield.”

Achane has not played since Miami’s Week 5 bout against the New York Giants after he sustained a knee injury. Since then, the Dolphins’ offense has been a bit inconsistent.

After scoring 42 points against the Carolina Panthers in its Week 6 game, Miami put up just 17 points against the Philadelphia Eagles to drop to 5-2. Another high-scoring output (31) the following week against the New England Patriots seemed to put the Dolphins back on track. However, they couldn’t solve the Kansas City Chiefs’ defense in Week 9, mustering just 14 points.

Their defense gave them the chance to mount a comeback victory against the Chiefs, holding Patrick Mahomes and company scoreless in the second half. Unfortunately, Miami couldn’t secure a late touchdown, with Tua Tagovailoa failing to connect on a late pass and breaking the heart of Cedrick Wilson Jr. to give Kansas City a 21-14 victory.

At 6-3, the Dolphins still have a hold of the top spot in the AFC East. Although the Buffalo Bills trail the team with a 5-5 record, Miami wants to extend its lead in the division to increase its odds of making consecutive playoff appearances for the first time in over two decades.

Achane returning to the field with no restrictions will certainly help. The 22-year-old has been a revelation for the franchise, compiling 460 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns in four appearances. He has also caught nine passes for 67 yards and two touchdowns.

Hopefully, the Texas A&M University product can resume the sublime play he displayed prior to his injuries.

If he manages to do that, the Dolphins will have a better chance of defeating the 5-5 Raiders. Miami’s next four games come against squads that don’t have winning records, so it has a good opportunity to go on a long winning streak in the next weeks.
