Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill expects to have 250 receiving yards vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill shared that he expects to have 250 receiving yards against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9 of the 2023 NFL season.

The Chiefs – Hill’s former team – take on the Dolphins this weekend in Germany. Hill believes that Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel is really going to try to get the star wideout involved in this game.

“I feel like Coach gon’ really try to get me involved this game,” Hill said. “So, I’m feelin’ like 12 receptions, 250 (yards).”

Those are some lofty expectations from Hill, but if anyone can do it, the Dolphins wideout may be up to the task.

So far this season, Hill has statistically been the best receiver in the NFL. He became the first player in NFL history to have 1,000 or more receiving yards in the first eight games of a season during Miami’s Week 8 win over the New England Patriots.

He’s on pace to finish the season with over 2,000 receiving yards, something that has never been done in the regular season in NFL history.

Overall, Hill and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa have connected 61 times for 1,014 yards on 87 targets. That’s an insane pace through eight games, and it makes Miami’s offense extremely hard to stop.

Hill has cleared 200 receiving yards once so far this season, catching 11 of his 15 targets in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers for 215 yards and two touchdowns. He’s also topped 150 receiving yards on three other occasions this season.

In Week 3 against the Denver Broncos, Hill made nine catches for 157 yards and a score. After a down showing in Week 4, he bounced back in Week 5 against the New York Giants, catching eight passes for 181 yards and a touchdown.

His other game over 150 yards came the following week against the Carolina Panthers. Hill caught six passes for 163 yards and a touchdown that week.

The veteran leads the NFL in receiving touchdowns this season with eight.

A threat to score every time he touches the ball because of his elite speed, Hill clearly wants to show his former team what it has been missing. The Chiefs traded Hill to the Dolphins prior to the 2022 season.

The Dolphins and Chiefs will face off at 9:30 a.m. EST in Germany on Sunday.
