Chosen Anderson shows immediate love to Tua Tagovailoa upon announcing his deal with Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins further improved their receiving depth this weekend by signing veteran free agent Chosen Anderson. It didn’t take long for the Dolphins newcomer to endear himself to the organization and its fans, as he showed off a Tua Tagovailoa jersey to announce his deal with the team.

Miami has done a solid job of providing Tagovailoa with more targets on offense heading into the 2023 season. Last month, the franchise also signed Braxton Berrios to a one-year deal.

It remains to be seen how the Dolphins will utilize the reinforcements, but Anderson will give the team another speedy wideout to complement Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

It sounds like Anderson’s deal with the Dolphins is one year long.

The Temple University product began his NFL career with the New York Jets, starting in eight of the 16 games he appeared in for the organization in his rookie campaign. He had a solid first year, finishing with 42 receptions for two touchdowns and 587 yards. His production was enough for him to be named to the starting lineup in all but one contest in his second season in the league.

After four years with the Jets, he joined the Carolina Panthers, where he had arguably the best season of his career. In the 2020 campaign, he recorded career-highs of 95 receptions and 1,096 receiving yards.

Anderson’s tenure with the Panthers didn’t last as long as it could’ve. Some drama occurred when he got into an argument with wide receiver coach Joe Dailey during their Week 6 bout in the 2022 campaign. He was kicked out of that match by the team and traded the day after to the Arizona Cardinals.

Now, he will be playing for his fourth NFL team. The 29-year-old is likely hoping that he can have a significant impact on the franchise and give the Dolphins a nice boost on offense.

The squad ranked 11th in points per game last season. As long as the injury bug doesn’t strike the Dolphins again, the team should be able to perform better in that department in the 2023 campaign.
