Tee Higgins leaves Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle off his list of top 5 wide receivers

Though the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are preparing for the Super Bowl this Sunday, the rest of the NFL is already in offseason mode. That might explain why Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins had the time to rank his top five wideouts currently in the league.

Surprisingly, Higgins left both Miami Dolphins star receivers Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill off his list. The absence of Hill will come as a much bigger surprise because many consider him to be amongst the very best currently playing.

There is no doubt that Higgins’ list is full of incredible receivers, but it is pretty shocking not to see Hill on the list.

That is especially true considering the fact that the seven-time Pro Bowler, four-time All-Pro and one-time Super Bowl champion arguably had his best season with the Dolphins in the 2022 campaign.

He finished with 119 receptions for 1,710 yards and seven scores. He was a major reason why the Dolphins offense looked so dangerous throughout much of the regular season.

As for Waddle, not many would consider him a top-five guy just yet, but he is certainly showing incredible promise. In just his second season in the NFL, he finished with 75 grabs for 1,356 yards and eight touchdowns.

Unfortunately for both Waddle and Hill, the player who was feeding them the ball for most of the season — quarterback Tua Tagovailoa — was unable to finish the regular season or play in the playoffs due to suffering a concussion in Week 16 versus the Green Bay Packers.

Tagovailoa suffered two concussions in the 2022 regular season and missed four regular season games and the team’s lone playoff game as a result. Luckily, he is now out of the league’s concussion protocol and seems to be well on his way toward making a full recovery.

The offseason will surely be a quiet one for Tagovailoa as he looks to give his brain the rest it needs to fully recover.

Next season, the three talented offensive players will surely look to pick up where they left off and once again have one of the most dangerous pass attacks in the league.
