Tyreek Hill says he’s been living the ‘American dream’ with the Miami Dolphins: ‘Miami was made for me’

In the 2022 NFL offseason, the Miami Dolphins made a huge splash when they acquired superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill via trade.

Though no one would deny Hill’s elite talent, there were some questions about whether Hill would succeed on the Dolphins given the concerns that previously existed about quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Up to this point, Tagovailoa has assuaged all of those concerns. He’s currently 4-0 in games that he’s started and finished this season. After Miami’s Week 7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tagovailoa has his team right back in the thick of the playoff chase in the AFC.

Tagovailoa led the Dolphins past the Steelers after returning from a scary head injury that forced him to miss two games.

As for Hill, he’s currently leading the league in receiving yards at 773. Following Miami’s win over Pittsburgh, he declared that he is living the American dream with his new team.

“I been living the American dream,” Hill said when asked about what it’s been like playing in Miami. “Miami was made for me. I ain’t gonna cap. I love Kansas City, man, but Miami is really for me, man. Just everything about it, man, fast-paced city, I’m a fast guy. Great food, I love to eat food. Good-looking people, no state taxes, so I had to choose that.”

There is little doubt that Miami is seen as one of the premier destinations for athletes. It’s part of the reason why the Miami Heat are always considered a top destination for star basketball players that are available through trade or free agency.

If the Dolphins keep winning like they have been this season, they could also quickly become a premier destination for stars looking for new homes.

When it comes to future success, the Dolphins are on the cusp of a stretch of really favorable matchups. They’ll take on the hapless Detroit Lions in Week 8 and then face the Chicago Bears the following week.

After that, the Dolphins will face the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans.

The Dolphins could very easily enter their Week 13 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers at 8-3.

Fans can be sure that Hill will continue to live his dream on and off the field in the coming weeks.
