Salvon Ahmed shows off amazing tattoo honoring Lakers legend Kobe Bryant

Late Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant tragically passed away two years ago, and while the impact of his passing was greatest felt in the NBA, athletes all over the world felt the immense loss at a deeply personal level.

Miami Dolphins running back Salvon Ahmed seemingly felt that loss. Ahmed recently showed off an amazing new tattoo located on his back. The tattoo is an impressive replication of one of the most iconic images ever taken of Bryant.

The picture, which was taken shortly following the Lakers’ 2001 NBA Finals victory, shows a seemingly unhappy Bryant holding the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Ahmed’s decision to get such a tattoo is a good representation of just how important Bryant continues to be to so many athletes. His accomplishments in the NBA are some of the most impressive in the history of the league, but it was his approach to excellence that has seemingly had the biggest impact.

Bryant was known for his unquenchable desire to become a better basketball player and competitor. His desire to always be better is clearly a big inspiration to professional athletes all over the sports world.

As for Ahmed, he hasn’t yet proven the ability to be a great player at the NFL level. Though he has flashed impressive play at times, he hasn’t been consistently productive. Last season he recorded just 54 rushing attempts for 149 yards.

He’ll have more competition for playing time in the upcoming season, as the Dolphins have made a clear point to add talent to their running back stable this offseason.

If Ahmed is using Bryant as a guide, he’ll use that added challenge as motivation to be better.
