Jaylen Waddle on Tua Tagovailoa’s form coming into the 2022 season: ‘That boy looks scary right now’

Ever since he entered the NFL, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has received lots of criticism from doubters.

Many believe he does not have what it takes to become a franchise quarterback for the Dolphins.

His teammates, however, seem to have lots of confidence in his abilities. Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle recently praised Tagovailoa while at Xavien Howard’s football camp, and he praised him again while speaking with Tyreek Hill, saying that Tagovailoa looks “scary right now.”

Waddle’s comments are definitely ones that Dolphins fans will be happy to hear. Throughout his two seasons with the Dolphins, Tagovailoa has completed 66.2 percent of his passes for 4,467 yards and 27 touchdowns. He has also thrown 15 interceptions.

Last season, Tagovailoa and Waddle were able to mesh well and build a great rapport despite the Dolphins not making the playoffs. The two played together at the University of Alabama, so it’s no surprise that they have already established a great partnership in the pros.

During the 2021 campaign, Waddle caught 104 passes for 1,015 yards and six touchdowns. He quickly established himself as one of the most important players on the Dolphins roster. He and Tagovailoa are surely going to benefit from the offseason addition of Hill.

Miami missed out on the playoffs in the past two seasons despite having winning records in each campaign.

The Dolphins organization is hoping that new head coach Mike McDaniel, who was hired to replace Brian Flores, will be able to lead it back to the postseason, somewhere it has not been since the 2016 season.
