Kenny Stills emphatically shuts down possible reunion with Miami Dolphins

Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Kenny Stills doesn’t seem interested in the idea of returning to the team.

After being asked on Twitter about the possibility of a reunion with the Dolphins, he made it clear that that’s not going to happen.

Stills spent four seasons with Miami. In total, he racked up 164 receptions for 2,566 yards in 63 games. He also added 24 receiving touchdowns.

One of his best seasons with the Dolphins came in the 2016 campaign, which was also the last time Miami cracked the playoffs. In that season, Stills started 16 games and caught 42 passes for 726 yards and nine touchdowns.

The 29-year-old appeared in 13 games in the 2021 regular season for the New Orleans Saints, totaling just six receptions for 68 yards. He did score one touchdown.

The Dolphins will certainly be looking to upgrade their roster this offseason, but it doesn’t sound like Stills is a guy that could potentially land with Miami again.

It’s a busy time for the Dolphins, who are now searching for their next head coach after the surprise firing of Brian Flores. The organization apparently has multiple candidates on its radar.

It’s a pivotal decision, so the Dolphins will surely take their time in selecting a new head coach. The hope is that the franchise’s next head coach will lead Miami to the playoffs for the first time in several seasons.

In the 2021 campaign, the Dolphins’ impressive playoff push fell just short despite the team’s best efforts. Miami finished the season with a 9-8 record, giving the squad its second straight winning regular season.
