Flores has been with the Dolphins for three seasons and finished his tenure in Miami with a record of 24-25. Miami got off to a rocky start this season before finishing on a hot streak, winning eight of its final nine games.
A 34-3 loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 17 cut down any hopes of a postseason berth for the Dolphins. Miami finished the season off with a sweep of the New England Patriots, defeating its division rivals 33-24 on Sunday.
The Dolphins finished third in the AFC East division this season behind the Patriots and Buffalo Bills who will both be playing in the playoffs this weekend. Flores finished with winning records in two of his three seasons with the Dolphins after a 5-11 record in his first season.
