Video: Brian Flores vows to ‘coach the s–t’ out of the Miami Dolphins in a passionate speech to the team

Throughout the past two seasons, the Miami Dolphins have seen lots of improvement under head coach Brian Flores.

After going 5-11 and exceeding expectations during the 2019 season, the Dolphins went 10-6 last season, nearly making the playoffs.

With many new roster additions, the Dolphins have increased expectations for the 2021 season. After a recent practice, Flores showed his passion while emphasizing how hard he is going to coach the team to make sure that they become the best they can be.

“Listen to me, if that wasn’t fun, you’re in the wrong business,” Flores began. “That was fun for me. The competition, the back and forth, the s— talking, that’s why we play the game. That’s why we coach the game. … Look, I’m going to coach the s— out of this team, period. Nobody’s stopping me from doing that. You guys need that to be better, to be the best version of yourself.”

It’s definitely important to have a head coach that is this dedicated and motivated, so it is good to see Flores expressing these qualities to the team.

The 40-year-old has been instrumental in helping the Dolphins get back to a place where they can contend for a playoff spot.

Miami kicks off its 2021 regular season on Sept. 12 against the New England Patriots. Flores will be hoping that he and his team can start the season off on the right foot as they look to make it back to the playoffs for the first time since the 2016 season.
