New Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is already making an effort to connect with his fellow rookies and recently spent some time with his new teammates at a golf range.
It was there that Waddle showed off his hilarious stroke.
Waddle was the Dolphins’ top pick in last month’s draft. He was selected sixth overall and will bring outstanding speed to the Dolphins receiving corps.
One factor in how quickly Waddle adapts to the NFL was addressed even before he was drafted, since both he and Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa played together at the University of Alabama.
That past connection will be an asset for the Dolphins as they seek to take the next step in getting back to the postseason after nearly achieving that goal last season.
Both Waddle and Tagovailoa are part of the Dolphins’ continued focus on building a powerhouse team. The current team has been aided by astute trades that have netted multiple high draft picks.
The selection of Waddle by the Dolphins was based strictly on his skills as a football player, with his golf talents thankfully not taken under consideration.
