Video: Brian Flores Seen Chewing Out Multiple Dolphins Players in Loss to Patriots

During the Miami Dolphins’ 21-11 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, Dolphins head coach Brian Flores erupted over the team’s apparent defensive mistakes.

It’s unclear exactly when Flores unleashed his tirade, with safety Brandon Jones and rookie cornerback Noah Igbinoghene among the recipients of the coach’s ire.

However, Patriots quarterback Cam Newton was a problem all afternoon for the Dolphins, completing 15 of 19 passes for 155 yards. In addition, he scored two of the Patriots’ three touchdowns, running them in as part of his 75 yards on the ground.

The Dolphins’ defense was an issue for much of last season, allowing a league-high 494 points and enduring some humiliating beatings during the first half of the 2019 campaign.

During the offseason, the Dolphins made multiple upgrades to that unit, but it’s clear that getting that side of the ball to mesh make take some time.

The main issue on the afternoon was the Dolphins’ inability to stop both Newton and the Patriots’ running backs, who collected 217 rushing yards in the win.

The Dolphins will look to even their 2020 mark next Sunday when they host the Buffalo Bills in their home opener at Hard Rock Stadium. The Bills will enter that game with a 1-0 mark after having defeated the New York Jets on Sunday, 27-17.
