Tyreek appears to say ‘f—k that’ when asked how many yards he wants: ‘I’m trying to win a playoff game’

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has accomplished more individually than some receivers can realistically hope for over the course of their entire careers in just three seasons in Miami.

He has already totaled 1,700-plus receiving yards in two separate seasons and led the entire league in receiving yards, receiving touchdowns and receiving yards per game in one of his years as a Dolphin.

However, Hill hasn’t been a part of much collective success since he joined the team. He won a Super Bowl while playing for the Kansas City Chiefs earlier in his NFL career, but he has yet to even win a playoff game with Miami.

During a Twitch stream, one user asked Hill how many yards he wants to rack up. Hill, seemingly in response to the question, made a statement indicating that he’s only thinking about winning. The answer would appear to represent a departure from some other comments he recently made.

“I’m trying to win a playoff game, bro,” Hill said. “F— that.”

Hill probably didn’t total as many receiving yards in the 2024 season as he would have liked to, as he failed to reach quadruple digits in that stat for the first time since the 2019 campaign. Across 17 starts, Hill finished with 954 receiving yards last season. It’s worth noting that he still led the Dolphins in receiving yards, however, and he was playing while injured.

The Dolphins have an incredibly lengthy drought without a playoff victory that they’ll need to snap if they want Hill’s goal to come to fruition. Miami has the longest active drought sans a playoff victory out of the 32 teams in the league, and its last playoff victory was all the way back at the start of the century in the 2000 season.

Hill played his most recent playoff game as a Dolphin when Miami lost to the Chiefs in early 2024. Miami lost that game in decisive fashion as the final score was 26-7, and Hill accumulated 62 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown versus his former team.

In order for the Dolphins to win a playoff game, they first have to qualify for the playoffs, which they didn’t do a season ago. Miami ended the 2024 season with just eight victories, which was still enough for a second-place finish in a relatively weak AFC East division.
