Tyreek Hill says he and Tua Tagovailoa made eye contact like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in Dolphins meeting

Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill said that he and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa were like Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in a team meeting.

“Even in our team meeting today, he was vocal about guys being smart, comin’ back, stayin’ sharp on this bye week and stuff like that and just coming back ready to attack, man, finish what we started,” Hill said. “And it’s gon’ be a beautiful thing. Hearin’ that from QB1 is awesome. Just seein’ his growth, just seein’ how much he has took ownership of that position of not just quarterback, of just franchise quarterback. It’s a beautiful thing. I was just sittin’ in the team meeting just smilin’. And me and him made eye contact like motherf—–‘ Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.”

Hill has arguably been the best player at his position in the NFL so far this season. In nine appearances with the Dolphins franchise so far, he has accumulated 1,076 receiving yards, eight receiving touchdowns and is averaging a whopping 119.6 receiving yards per game, all of which lead the league.

The wide receiver had a great 2022 regular season as well, which was his first season in Miami. He totaled 1,710 receiving yards and finished fourth in the NFL AP Offensive Player of the Year voting.

Before joining the Dolphins, Hill played with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs and even won a Super Bowl with the team.

Like Hill, Tagovailoa is also playing at a very high level for the Dolphins this season. He has thrown for 2,609 yards and 19 touchdowns in nine starts for Miami thus far. Also, he owns a quarterback rating of 106.4.

For as great as Tagovailoa and Hill have played this season, they both put together forgettable performances in the team’s matchup against the Chiefs on Nov. 5. The former finished with 193 passing yards and one passing touchdown, while the latter finished with 62 receiving yards on eight receptions in a game the Dolphins went on to lose by a score of 21-14.

Tagovailoa’s 193 passing yards against the Chiefs marked his fewest in any game so far this season.

The Dolphins won’t be playing on Sunday, as their next game isn’t until Nov. 19 when they will take on the Las Vegas Raiders at home. Miami has yet to lose a game at home this season.

The Raiders have had a hard time winning games away from home this season, as evidenced by their 1-4 road record. Their only road win of the season was against the Denver Broncos and quarterback Russell Wilson on Sept. 10.
