Mike McDaniel offers bevy of injury updates on Jaylen Waddle and other Miami Dolphins players

With the Miami Dolphins fresh off a loss against the Kansas City Chiefs, head coach Mike McDaniel offered injury updates on a bevy of players on Tuesday.

Firstly, Robert Jones won’t need surgery for the knee injury he suffered against the Chiefs on Sunday, and his injury status is considered “week to week.”

McDaniel also provided an update on wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. Waddle has been dealing with injuries throughout the season.

He missed Miami’s historic win over the Denver Broncos back in September with a concussion, suffered a back injury in the team’s loss against the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 22 but returned later in the game and then suffered a knee injury against the Chiefs on Sunday before returning later in that game as well.

Dolphins wide receiver River Cracraft hasn’t played since the team’s game against the Broncos on Sept. 24, but McDaniel hinted at the notion that he will be back on the field for Miami sooner rather than later.

Lastly, McDaniel said that guard Isaiah Wynn has a “long journey” ahead of him before he will be able to return to the team. Wynn suffered a quad injury early in the Dolphins’ game against the Eagles back in October and was subsequently placed on injured reserve.

In eight appearances with the Dolphins so far this season, Waddle — who is in his third season in the NFL and with Miami — has totaled 522 receiving yards, three receiving touchdowns and 27 first downs receiving. His longest reception to this point has been for 35 yards.

Cracraft is in his sixth season in the NFL and second season as a member of the Dolphins after playing for the Broncos and San Francisco 49ers during the first four seasons of his NFL career. He’s played three games and logged one start for the Dolphins so far this season.

At the very least, it sounds like Cracraft should be good to go for the Dolphins when they take on the Las Vegas Raiders on Nov. 19.
