Tyreek Hill says Miami Dolphins are concerned about matchup vs. New England Patriots

Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill revealed that the team is concerned with its Week 8 matchup against the New England Patriots.

“Are we concerned?” Hill asked. “Yes, we are. Patriots are a real good team. They got a real good coach. And that defense is very – that defense is stifling. A lot of playmakers on that team, they added J.C. Jackson. It’s gonna be a good game.”

It seems like Hill and the Dolphins aren’t taking the Patriots lightly despite the team’s 2-5 record so far this season.

That’s a smart approach, especially since New England looked much better in Week 7, upsetting the Buffalo Bills. The team orchestrated a late scoring drive – capped by a touchdown pass to former Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki – to take down Buffalo in New England.

The Dolphins are coming off a tough loss in Week 7 to the Philadelphia Eagles, who are one of the best teams in the NFL this season. Miami scored just 17 points in that game, but Hill still had a strong showing.

The star wideout caught 11 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown in the game for Miami. On the season, Hill has been one of the most productive offensive players in the NFL.

The seven-time Pro Bowler already has 53 catches on 74 targets, and he’s leading the NFL with 902 receiving yards. Not only that, but he also leads the league in receiving touchdowns this season with seven.

Hill has been named to the Pro Bowl in every season of his NFL career, and he looks to be on pace to do that once again in his second season in Miami.

This is the second and final meeting between the Dolphins and Patriots in the 2023 regular season. The two teams faced off in Foxborough, Mass. earlier this season in Week 2. Miami won that game 24-17, but the Patriots held Hill to just five catches for 40 yards. He did have a touchdown.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is one of the greatest coaches in NFL history, so he likely knows that the team needs to key in on slowing down Hill – which isn’t easy – if the Patriots want a chance to win in Week 8.

Miami would love to pick up another win over a division opponent to further its case to win the AFC East this season.
