De’Von Achane barks back at Tyreek Hill over which Miami Dolphins player is faster

Miami Dolphins rookie running back De’Von Achane believes he’s the fastest player on the team even if Tyreek Hill doesn’t.

Hill recently called Achane the third-fastest player on the Dolphins (behind himself and practice squad cornerback Ethan Bonner). The receiver – nicknamed “Cheetah” – has widely been considered one of the fastest players in the league for quite some time.

Still, Achane isn’t backing down to the veteran.

The rookie clearly believes in his ability, and he showcased it again on Sunday against the New York Giants.

Achane had 11 carries for 151 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. The score was a 76-yard scamper where he blew past the New York defense.

The rookie has been on fire over the past few weeks, scoring seven all-purpose touchdowns in the Dolphins’ last three games. He added a 14-yard reception on Sunday to his impressive stat line as well, showing that he can be a threat both on the ground and through the air.

While Achane had a great game in Miami’s win on Sunday, Hill also showcased his speed on a huge play.

Hill made a 68-yard catch on Sunday where he reached 22.01 miles per hour, the fastest speed in the NFL this season.

That was just part of a monster day for Hill. The star receiver made eight catches for 181 yards and a touchdown against the Giants.

While Hill and Achane don’t agree on who is the fastest player on the team, Dolphins fans have to love having both of them on the squad.

The Miami roster makes life tough on other teams because of its speed, and Hill and Achane are both threats to score every time they touch the ball.

Achane has shown that by breaking off several long runs this season. The rookie had a 55-yard run last week against the Buffalo Bills, and he had a 67-yard run against the Denver Broncos in Week 3.

The rookie running back may need to pass Hill’s speed of 22.01 miles per hour if he wants the star wideout to consider him the fastest on the Dolphins.
