Tua Tagovailoa says he’d have Dwayne Johnson play him in a movie: ‘We look the same’

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa revealed that he’d want Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to play him in a movie.

“Probably The Rock,” Tagovailoa said when asked which actor he would want to play him in a movie. “… We look the same.”

The Dolphins are expecting big things from Tagovailoa in the 2022 season, and if he plays up to expectations, there’s a chance Johnson could star in a movie about a championship season for the Dolphins.

Miami brought in a few new weapons for Tagovailoa this offseason, as the team traded for star receiver Tyreek Hill and signed wideout Cedrick Wilson Jr. in free agency. The Dolphins also improved their running back corps by signing Chase Edmonds, Sony Michel and Raheem Mostert.

The Dolphins also got better on the offensive line by signing Terron Armstead. They appear to be a team that could make a run at a playoff spot in 2022.

Tagovailoa was the No. 5 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and he has compiled a 13-8 record as a starter in two NFL seasons.

Last season, Tagovailoa appeared in 13 games for the Dolphins, making 12 starts, and he threw for 2,653 yards and 16 touchdowns. He is one of the most accurate passers in the league and completed 67.8 percent of his passes in the 2021 season.

The Dolphins are hoping the young quarterback will continue to build on a strong finish to last season when the 2022 season begins. The Dolphins missed the playoffs in each of the past two seasons despite the fact that they finished over .500 in both campaigns.

Now, new Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel will be tasked with putting Tagovailoa in the best situation to succeed in 2022.
