When the Miami Dolphins acquired superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill via trade earlier this offseason, critics immediately started questioning how effective he’ll be with his new team.
The primary reason for the doubt has to do with Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Quite simply, some people are unsure how well Hill will be able to stretch the field given Tagovailoa’s lack of elite arm strength.
On Monday, a fan took to social media to express belief in the idea that Hill won’t be as impactful of a player with Tagovailoa getting him the ball. It didn’t take long for Hill himself to respond.
Without a doubt, expectations are high for Hill in his new home of South Florida. After all, he’s been one of the most dominant receivers in the league over the last several years. Last season, he finished with 111 receptions for 1,239 yards and nine touchdowns.
Between Hill and Dolphins youngster Jaylen Waddle, the Dolphins are expected to have arguably the fastest receiving core in the NFL in the 2022 season.
It will be up to Tagovailoa to take advantage of all that speed and get the ball to his talented receivers.
If the Dolphins can improve on offense and maintain a solid level of play on defense and special teams, they should have a really good chance of getting over the hump and finally ending their playoff drought.
Clearly, Hill is quite confident that he and his new teammates will be able to do just that.
