Report: Miami Dolphins assistant GM Marvin Allen attends University of Houston’s pro day

Miami Dolphins assistant general manager Marvin Allen reportedly is in attendance at the University of Houston’s pro day.

The Cougars have a handful of players that could be selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, including defensive lineman Logan Hall, and it appears the Dolphins want a closer look at some of the talent from the Houston team.

Last season, Hall totaled 47 tackles and six sacks for the Cougars. He played alongside some other talented prospects at Houston, including Marcus Jones, who is a cornerback and kick returner.

The Dolphins could improve their squad by selecting a talented player from Houston, and Allen attending the school’s pro day could signal that Miami is interested in doing so.

The Dolphins are looking to make the playoffs in the 2022 season under Mike McDaniel. The team narrowly missed the postseason in both the 2020 and 2021 seasons, but the Dolphins have made some major moves this offseason to improve their roster.

Miami brought in offensive tackle Terron Armstead in free agency and traded for star wide receiver Tyreek Hill in order to give Tua Tagovailoa some more help on offense.

Now, the Dolphins seem to be shifting their focus to this year’s draft, as the team is hoping to find more impact players on both sides of the ball. Last year, the Dolphins hit the jackpot by drafting Jevon Holland in the second round, and the team is certainly hoping to have another successful draft this time around.
