Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is showing no signs of his recent fractured ribs, launching some deep passes during the team’s practice.
Tagovailoa left early during the Sept. 19 game against the Buffalo Bills and was later discovered to have broken ribs that sent him to the team’s injured reserve list.
Indications earlier this week offered hope that Tagovailoa would be ready to play. After four consecutive losses, the Dolphins badly need a victory in Sunday’s game in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Injecting some life into the Dolphins’ stagnant offense is undoubtedly one of the goals for Tagovailoa, which may be easier against the winless Jaguars.
Tagovailoa was drafted last year after undergoing career-threatening hip surgery. While this more recent injury wasn’t in the same category, it shows the need to keep the second-year signal-caller healthy in the weeks ahead.
