Brian Flores explains how he expects Miami Dolphins players to deal with Deshaun Watson rumors

Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores spoke about the Deshaun Watson rumors on Monday, saying that he wants his team to “block it out, ignore it and move on.”

“I think there are always rumors, there is always speculation,” Flores said. “There is always some form of distractions and I think as a team we always have to block that stuff out and play. I thought they did that yesterday.

“That’s something that all players deal with in the National Football League. There is always something going on. There is always some form of speculation or controversy. And we just block it out, ignore it and move on.”

While some players might be able to block out the noise, that might be particularly hard for 23-year-old quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. He’s entering his second season at the NFL level, and he’s hoping to get a chance to prove that his lackluster rookie campaign was just a hiccup on his way to great success.

In the 2020 season, Tagovailoa completed 64.1 percent of his passes for 1,814 yards and 11 touchdowns in 10 games. He also threw five interceptions. Veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had to bail Tagovailoa out in some high-leverage situations.

With Watson being at the center of some alarming accusations, many folks don’t want the Dolphins to trade for him. However, it sounds like the possibility is on the table.

The belief is that Watson could be traded in the coming days. It will be very interesting to see where he lands, and it could be a pivotal week for the Dolphins.
