Report: Miami Dolphins reveal MRI results for Lynn Bowden Jr.

When Miami Dolphins wide receiver Lynn Bowden Jr. left practice with a hamstring injury on Thursday, many fans feared the worst.

Fortunately, an MRI reportedly revealed good news.

The Dolphins are very thin at the wide receiver position, so losing Bowden for an extended period of time would have been a major blow. It sounds like the team may have dodged a bullet in that regard.

The 23-year-old looked good in Miami’s first preseason game. He reeled in four catches for 47 yards. It sounds like he won’t be back in time to play in another preseason game.

In the 2020 season, as a rookie, he played in 10 games and caught 28 passes for 211 yards. He’s hoping to make a bigger impact in the 2021 season.

Before that happens, however, he’s going to have to make his recovery a priority. Hamstring injuries are tricky, and the Dolphins will surely be careful with the youngster as he heals from the setback.

Miami might have to do some roster gymnastics in the meantime. It will be interesting to see if the organization decides to put Bowden on injured reserve.
