Miami Dolphins wide receiver Lynn Bowden Jr. reportedly left practice on Thursday with an injury.
It sounds like the injury could be serious.
The Dolphins are already very thin at the wide receiver position, and losing Bowden for an extended period of time would be another major blow.
Bowden looked good in Miami’s preseason opener. He caught four passes for 47 yards, including one 17-yard reception.
In the 2020 season, he showed flashes of potential. He appeared in 10 games, and he brought in 28 receptions for 211 yards. Many folks expected him to see a bigger role in the 2021 season. Depending on the severity of his injury, his role in the upcoming campaign could shrink or completely go away.
The 23-year-old has completed just one season at the NFL level, and it would be devastating to see him lose his sophomore season to an injury.
The organization will hopefully provide an update when more news becomes available.
