Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is putting some of his skills on display in Saturday’s preseason game against the Chicago Bears.
He completed a beautiful downfield pass to tight end Mike Gesicki for a big gain.
Tagovailoa’s deep passes have been a point of emphasis all offseason. It seems like he is starting to reap the benefits of his hard work.
Many folks have taken notice of how Tagovailoa’s mechanics seem greatly improved and more effortless. That pass to Gesicki certainly shows why.
With Tagovailoa being the undisputed starter at quarterback to start the year, the hope is that the former first-round pick will be able to play with less of a weight on his shoulders this season. While he has a lot to prove, he is going to get the chance to do it.
In the 2020 season, Tagovailoa completed 64.1 percent of his passes for 1,814 yards and 11 touchdowns. He appeared in 10 games. The expectation is that he will play a full campaign this year.
