Miami Dolphins Rumors

Report: Tua Tagovailoa’s throwing motion seems ‘effortless’ compared to that of last year

At least one reporter thinks that Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has made improvements in his passing form compared to that of last season.

By most measures, Tagovailoa had an underwhelming rookie season. He appeared in just 10 games, and along the way, he completed 64.1 percent of his passes for 1,814 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The team ultimately missed the postseason very narrowly after going 10-6. Had it not been for veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, the Dolphins might not have been in the playoff picture at all.

Fitzpatrick is no longer with the team, and it’s going to be Tagovailoa’s show to run in 2021. He is looking to guide the Dolphins to their first playoff berth since the 2016 season.

Tagovailoa’s upside is known. Over three seasons at the University of Alabama, he played in 32 games and completed 69.3 percent of his passes for a whopping 7,442 yards and 87 touchdowns.

Dolphins fans are hoping that the youngster will show signs of growth in his second year at the NFL level.
