The Miami Dolphins have made another trade this offseason.
On Tuesday, the Dolphins traded veteran offensive lineman Ereck Flowers to the Washington Football Team.
While the Dolphins surely need help on the offensive front, it appears as though this move was about the team’s dire need for additional cap space. In fact, it was reported that before this move, the Dolphins didn’t even have the cap space needed to sign their upcoming draft class.
Still, parting ways with Flowers is a loss. Last season, he started in all 14 games that he suited up for.
With the trade, the Dolphins are now even more likely to take at least one young offensive lineman in the upcoming draft. The only question is how early on will they decide to call a lineman’s name.
