Report: Miami Dolphins have Kyle Pitts atop their wish list, may trade up to get him

University of Florida tight end Kyle Pitts is on the top of the Miami Dolphins’ wish list heading into the 2021 NFL Draft.

According to the Miami Herald’s Adam H. Beasley, the Dolphins would be willing to move out of the No. 6 spot in order to draft Pitts.

“But Florida tight end Kyle Pitts is at the top of the Dolphins’ wish list, club personnel have conveyed to associates, and the Dolphins would even be willing to trade up to get him,” Beasley wrote.

The first three picks belong to the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers, and they are all expected to take quarterbacks.

That leaves just the Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals in the way between the Dolphins selecting Pitts.

Pitts makes a ton of sense for Miami with current tight end Mike Gesicki entering the final year of his contract.

Last season at Florida, Pitts caught 43 passes for 770 yards and 12 touchdowns in just eight games.

He would provide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with another playmaker on offense alongside Gesicki, DeVante Parker and Will Fuller.

Miami may have to move up for him, but Pitts seems like a perfect fit on draft day.
