The Miami Dolphins have reportedly traded the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft to the San Francisco 49ers for a massive haul.
The Dolphins, who were open to trading the prized pick, now have a bevy of draft picks in the next few drafts.
As a matter of fact, this trade means the Dolphins will have had multiple picks in the first round of drafts from 2021 to 2023.
The Dolphins selected quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with the No. 5 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The team is looking to add more weapons around the franchise star in his second season in the NFL.
Tagovailoa, 23, threw for 1,814 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions in 10 games, including nine starts, last season. The organization is committed to bolstering support around rim as it emerges from this rebuild.
The 2021 NFL Draft is scheduled to begin on April 29.
