Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson believes that music icon Jay-Z will try to purchase the Miami Dolphins.
In the past two months, Jay-Z has sold 50 percent of his champagne business as well as his stake in the streaming service TIDAL.
Johnson believes that those moves are foreshadowing something bigger.
While Johnson is just making a prediction, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross shot down rumors that he was looking to sell the team in February of last year.
“I have no interest in selling (the Dolphins). Zero. Got it?” Ross said.
“People want to write. They can write whatever they want to. I’m an owner till I die. I love it.”
If Johnson’s prediction is right, it will be interesting to see if the music icon makes a push to acquire part ownership of an NFL team in the near future.
