The Miami Dolphins reportedly are signing kicker Jason Sanders to a lucrative contract extension.

Sanders, 25, was a First Team All-Pro selection last season.

The extension reportedly is worth $22 million over five years and includes $10 million in guaranteed money. It will keep Sanders with the team through the 2026 season.

Sanders showed that he is one of the league’s best kickers last season. He hit all 36 of his extra point attempts and was 36-for-39 on field goals.

He had 11 games in which he hit multiple field goals and two games where he was 5-for-5 on his field-goal tries.

A seventh-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Sanders has shown that he is an important contributor for Miami over his first three NFL seasons.

Now, the Dolphins will have one of the better special teams units in football with Sanders leading the way for the foreseeable future.
