The Miami Dolphins are reportedly looking to improve at the slot receiver position this offseason.
“But according to a source, the Dolphins believe they also need a twitchy receiver capable of playing in the slot,” wrote Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. “They remain intrigued by Lynn Bowden Jr. but believe the position must still be addressed.”
The Dolphins currently have four total picks in the first two rounds of the 2021 NFL Draft, holding the No. 3 and No. 18 overall selections along with two second-rounders.
Bowden had a promising rookie campaign after the former third-round pick out of University of Kentucky was acquired by trade from the Oakland Raiders prior to the start of last season.
He compiled 28 receptions for 211 yards in 10 games, including four starts, for Miami.
The Dolphins were in the bottom half of the league in total passing offense last season, finishing No. 20 overall with 233.5 yards per game.
The 2021 NFL Draft will take place from Thursday, April 29 to Saturday, May 1.
