On Friday morning, the Miami Dolphins made a troubling announcement.
The team announced that an assistant coach on its staff had tested positive for COVID-19. It added that the team is in the NFL’s intensive protocol related to the the novel coronavirus.
While the name of the coach has not been released, a report stated that it is a coach who works on the defensive side of the ball.
What the team will be looking for now is to see if an outbreak within the organization has begun. Hopefully, it caught this positive case early enough to inhibit spread amongst other coaches and players.
If it does end up looking like an outbreak is occurring, chances are good the Dolphins will have to reschedule their upcoming game against the Arizona Cardinals.
