Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores gave an update on DeVante Parker’s status for Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills.
Parker went down with a hamstring injury in the Week 1 loss to the New England Patriots. He had battled hamstring issues during camp but was able to suit up for Week 1.
“DeVante is getting rehab and treatment [Monday],” Flores said. “He’ll get rehab and treatment [Tuesday]. We’ll see what it looks like on Wednesday. Can’t say right now. It’s still too early.”
While it is not the worst case scenario, this isn’t the news that Miami fans wanted to hear.
After the offense struggled to put up points in Week 1, Miami could clearly use Parker’s big-play ability on the outside.
Parker is coming off a breakout season in 2019. He played all 16 games for the first time in his career and caught 72 passes for 1,202 yards and nine touchdowns.
As the week goes on, Parker’s status for Sunday will certainly be worth monitoring.
