While Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa most likely won’t see action in Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots, video of his first pregame warmup as a professional is certainly noteworthy.
Tagovailoa was the fifth overall player selected in April’s NFL draft. He was the first of three first-round picks by the Dolphins.
That status makes Tagovailoa the Dolphins’ quarterback of the future, with the Dolphins hoping to use his rookie season as a development year.
The expectation is that veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick will serve as the Dolphins’ starting quarterback and as a mentor for Tagovailoa in 2020.
