The Miami Dolphins are in their second week of padded practices and rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is starting to turn heads.
After Tagovailoa had his worst day of practice last week when Ryan Fitzpatrick was unavailable due to personal reasons, the No. 5 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft seems to be improving.
That is great news for Dolphins fans.
While Fitzpatrick is expected to begin the 2020 NFL season as the Dolphins’ starting quarterback, Tagovailoa still may see the field this year.
The rookie is expected to be the future of the franchise, so it is important that he progresses as he gets more time in Chan Gailey’s offense.
While Gailey said that the offense already has had multiple issues, it is very possible that Tagovailoa could help turn that around.
The Dolphins are looking to improve on a 5-11 campaign last season.
They will open the season on Sept. 13 against the New England Patriots.
