The Miami Dolphins released safety Adrian Colbert on Sunday.
Colbert, 26, appeared in six games for Miami last season, including five starts.
He finished the year with 22 tackles and two passes defended. For his career, Colbert has totaled 80 tackles, one fumble recovery and two fumbles forced.
Colbert spent the first two seasons of his career as a member of the San Francisco 49ers. He was a seventh-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
The 49ers waived Colbert after Week 1 of last season.
Colbert had spent the summer working out with two of the league’s top safeties, but it wasn’t enough for him to earn a spot on the Dolphins roster.
The Dolphins have revamped their secondary from last season, adding cornerbacks Byron Jones and Noah Igbinoghene.
