Video: Miami Dolphins’ Adrian Colbert Working Out With 2 of NFL’s Top Safeties

Miami Dolphins safety Adrian Colbert is working out with Seattle Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs and New England Patriots defensive back Adrian Phillips.

Colbert posted the two videos to his Instagram story on Monday. The 26-year-old safety is surrounding himself with some good company as he prepares for the 2020 NFL season.

Phillips, 27, was an All-Pro selection in 2018 while he was a member of the Los Angeles Chargers. He totaled 94 tackles in 2018, but was limited to just seven games last season due to injury.

Diggs, 26, is a rising star at the safety position. He has intercepted three passes in each of the last three seasons.

Colbert was a seventh-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers back in 2017. His first season in Miami came in 2019, where he started five games and recorded 22 tackles.

The University of Miami product is looking to make a name for himself in the Dolphins’ secondary.

Miami added cornerback Byron Jones in free agency and drafted cornerback Noah Igbinoghene in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft in an attempt to bolster its defense. The Dolphins were ranked dead last by Pro Football Focus in coverage defense last season.

Colbert is currently listed behind safety Eric Rowe on the Dolphins’ official depth chart.

As Colbert tries to carve out a role with Miami in 2020, learning from the likes of Phillips and Diggs should only help him improve.
