On Wednesday, wide receiver Albert Wilson announced that he is opting out of the 2020 NFL season.
He is now the second Miami Dolphins player to do so after Allen Hurns opted out on Tuesday.
In just two days, the Dolphins have now lost two impact players at wide receiver.
Last season, Wilson recorded 43 receptions for 351 yards and one touchdown. Throughout his career, Wilson has caught 193 passes for 2,286 yards and 12 touchdowns.
With Hurns and Wilson now out, other wide receivers like Isaiah Ford and Gary Jennings Jr. will likely have opportunities to step into bigger roles.
It will be interesting to see if more Dolphins players end up deciding to opt out of the upcoming season in the coming days.
