The Miami Dolphins are reportedly placing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on injured reserve, which means he will miss at least the team’s next three games.
Sources: The #Dolphins are placing QB Tua Tagovailoa on Injured Reserve, meaning he’ll miss three games. The hope is he returns from his broken ribs at that point. But it’s Jacoby Brissett’s show for the next three games.

Tagovailoa suffered a rib injury during the team’s Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The Dolphins want to make sure he’s back to full health before putting him back into action.
The chief reason for ensuring that Tagovailoa is fully recovered before playing again is because of his injury-plagued past. He entered the league with many questions regarding his health after undergoing career-threatening hip surgery while at the University of Alabama.
In Tagovailoa’s absence, Jacoby Brissett will run the offense. Brissett hopes to be more productive after completing 24 of his 40 passes against the Bills for just 169 yards and one interception.
The earliest game Tagovailoa can return for is against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 17.
The Dolphins will face the Las Vegas Raiders on the road on Sunday.
