Miami Dolphins veteran says Jacoby Brissett could ‘easily’ be starter on different team
- Updated: September 23, 2021
Miami Dolphins veteran Eric Rowe seems to have a lot of confidence in quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
Rowe recently stated that Brissett could “easily be a starter somewhere else.”
Eric Rowe said Jacoby Brissett may be the No. 2 QB to Tua in Miami, but he could “easily be a starter somewhere else” and the Dolphins have “full confidence in him”

Brissett is being thrown into a high-pressure situation, and it’s great to see that his teammates have his back. Rowe’s support will surely help Brissett’s confidence heading into Week 3.
There is some data that might support Rowe’s claim. Brissett was a 15-game starter for the Indianapolis Colts in the 2019 campaign. That year, he completed 60.9 percent of his passes for 2,942 yards and 18 touchdowns.
It will be Brissett’s responsibility to run Miami’s offense while Tua Tagovailoa is sidelined. It remains to be seen how long Tagovailoa will be out, but there seems to be a belief that he could miss multiple weeks.
The Dolphins are 1-1 and will look to earn their second win of the season this coming weekend against the Las Vegas Raiders.
