Former star wide receiver Randy Moss, who is considered by many to be among the greatest receivers in the history of the NFL, put out a controversial take regarding Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill recently.
Moss claimed that while he believes Hill is a top-five receiver in the NFL right now, he thinks Hill is “nowhere all-time.” He indicated that Hill still has a lot left to accomplish if he wants to be thought of as an all-time great player at his position.
One Dolphins youngster has since made it clear that he disagrees with Moss’ take, though.
Miami running back Jaylen Wright โ who ran for 249 yards on 68 rushing attempts as a rookie in the 2024 season โ thinks that Hill could be a Hall of Famer one day.

“Tyreek draws a lot of attention,” Wright said regarding what makes it special playing alongside Hill on offense. “Where he’s at, he’s gonna draw attention. People gotta respect him. I definitely feel like Tyreek can be somebody that’s in the Hall of Fame. I feel like Tyreek is a great guy, a great receiver, a great player. He’s hard to handle. I mean, speed you can’t teach, so I kind of don’t agree on that. I feel like Tyreek something very special โ he already something special, but definitely feel like he can work his way to a Hall of Fame.”
While there may be some truth to Moss’ take that Hill isn’t an all-time great receiver just yet, his NFL resume is still certainly nothing to sneeze at.
At the age of 31, Hill is already an eight-time Pro Bowler, five-time All-Pro selection and Super Bowl champion. For comparison, Moss ended his pro stint with six Pro Bowl nods and four All-Pro selections under his belt, and he never won a Super Bowl.
Hill also may have had a more productive peak than Moss, as Moss never totaled more than 1,632 receiving yards in a single season, and Hill posted consecutive seasons with 1,700-plus yards earlier on in his Dolphins stint.
What’s arguably holding people from crowning Hill one of the greatest receivers in the history of football are his career numbers and how they stack up all-time. For example, he ranks outside of the top 40 all-time in career receptions, receiving yards and is in a tie for the No. 30 spot in career receiving touchdowns with 82.
A few more highly productive seasons from Hill before he calls it quits on his NFL career could help him improve his ranking in those all-time receiving statistics.
Hill is looking to have a bounce-back campaign in the coming 2025 season after he failed to total quadruple digits in receiving yards for the first time as a Dolphin in the 2024 campaign.
