With the start of the 2025 NFL Draft coming up on the horizon, a recent workout video from former University of Colorado Boulder quarterback Shedeur Sanders sparked a debate between Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons and New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton.

The video in question showed Sanders patting the ball, and Parsons argued that the habit could make the difference between a sack and a completed pass. However, Slayton responded by claiming that former New England Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady did the same thing during his time in the league.

Parsons then was critical of Slayton for seemingly comparing Sanders to Brady.

On Sunday, Hill took to X and weighed in on the debate between Parsons and Slayton.

Both Parsons and Slayton are Adidas athletes and on the heels of productive 2024 campaigns. Parsons totaled a whopping 12 sacks and 23 quarterback hits across 13 games played with the Cowboys, while Slayton racked up 573 receiving yards in 16 appearances with New York.

Sanders was dominant in his second season at Colorado, as he led his entire conference in a number of passing statistics, such as total passing yards, passing touchdowns, yards gained per pass attempt and passes completed.

There’s ostensibly a real chance that Sanders will be one of the first names called when the 2025 NFL Draft begins on April 24. A recent mock draft from NFL.com has the Giants selecting Sanders with the No. 3 overall pick.

If that hypothetical selection for New York turned into a reality, Slayton would likely be a major beneficiary of the addition of Sanders to the roster. Four quarterbacks suited up for the Giants in the 2024 season, and none of them finished the campaign with a record better than 2-8 as a starter.

Daniel Jones got the start in a good chunk of New York’s contests a season ago, but he totaled nearly as many interceptions as he did passing touchdowns in his sixth season in the NFL and with the Giants.

Whether Sanders gets drafted by the Giants or a different team, folks should expect him to have a long and successful NFL career.
